Archaeology on the StreetSummer Archaeology Field School FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (AGES 13-18) JULY 23 THROUGH JULY 27
Students will experience this tangible history working hands-on under the direction of Kevin Van Kleeck, resident archaeologist and member of HHS's Historical Preservation Team. Students will take part in a live dig—immersed in the day-to-day life of an archaeologist as they work this summer’s site. Students can expect to learn research reporting and handling of actual historical artifacts. They will create scaled-drawings of individual archaeology units and develop artifacts for exhibition. This one-week program is tailor-made for a college essay or resume. Ages 13-18. $300 per week. $275 for Friends of Huguenot Street.
